Ansanm nou fò — Together we are strong
Our Mission
"To empower the communities of Jérémie by fostering economic opportunity, improving health outcomes, and creating spaces where local families can thrive."
Why Jérémie, Why Now
Jérémie, known as the "City of Poets," is a vibrant hub of culture and agriculture in Haiti's Grand'Anse department. Yet, its remote location and historical marginalization have left many families struggling for basic access to markets, healthcare, and education.
We see the immense potential in our hometown. By investing in local farmers, empowering youth, and providing vital health services, we are helping build a resilient, self-sustaining Jérémie from the ground up.
70% of Grand'Anse residents live in rural, agricultural areas.
Limited access to preventative healthcare and medical specialists.
Need for expanded educational resources and youth mentorship.
Vulnerability to climate impacts affecting crop yields.

Learn MoreThe Jérémie Community Fair
Fwa Kominotè Jeremi
Our signature initiative, the Jérémie Community Fair, transforms the city center into a vibrant marketplace and resource hub. For three days, farmers from the surrounding mountains bring their fresh produce to sell directly to the community.
But it's more than just a market. The fair features free medical clinics, educational workshops, and cultural celebrations. It's a space where the entire community gathers to support one another, share resources, and celebrate their shared heritage.
By sponsoring a farmer's booth or medical tent, you are directly injecting resources into the local economy and supporting the dignity of self-reliance.

"Before the foundation's fair, I struggled to sell my yam harvest. Now, I have a dedicated space to meet buyers, and I can afford to send my two youngest children to school."

From the Diaspora,
For Our Hometown
The Norcilia Fanfan Foundation was born out of a deep love for Jérémie. As members of the Haitian diaspora, our family recognized that while we had built lives abroad, our roots and responsibility remained in Grand'Anse.
We named the foundation after our matriarch, whose spirit of generosity and community care inspires everything we do. Our approach is simple: we listen to the people of Jérémie and partner with them to build the resources they need.
